Rules

Created 2026-09-10·Last updated 2026-09-10

1. The short version

Treat people the way you want to be treated. Do not spam, do not abuse, do not break the law.

ReTalkia is built for talking with your own people — open topic rooms and private, invite-only circles. Keep it that way.

If you see something that breaks these Rules, report it to [email protected].

2. Your account

You may create one account for yourself. A phone number is not required.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account.

Do not sell, share or transfer your account, and do not create additional accounts to evade a ban or a restriction.

3. What is not allowed

You must use ReTalkia lawfully and respectfully. In particular, you must not:

  • harass, threaten, intimidate or abuse other users;
  • post hate speech or content that targets people based on who they are;
  • share content that is illegal or that you do not have the right to share;
  • spam, send mass unsolicited messages, run scams, phishing or chain letters;
  • impersonate another person, a brand, or ReTalkia itself;
  • share someone else's private information without their permission (doxxing);
  • record, capture or redistribute another person's private conversation or voice messages without their consent;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, channels, the service or other users' data;
  • bypass moderation, bans, access controls or other security measures;
  • spread malware or links to it;
  • use the service to harm minors or to share content that exploits or endangers them.

4. Voice messages

Voice messages are limited to a maximum duration set by the service (currently up to three minutes).

The same Rules apply to what you say as to what you write. Do not use voice messages to harass, threaten or spam.

Voice messages are short-lived by design and are deleted together with the channel content they belong to.

5. Channels and rooms

Anyone can create a channel and becomes its operator. Operators can set the topic, invite people to private circles, remove members, ban users and clear messages in the channels they manage.

Open channels can be joined from the directory. Private circles are invite-only.

Operators must use these powers responsibly and in line with these Rules.

6. Channel inactivity and deletion

ReTalkia is short-lived by design, and channels are no exception.

If a channel has no members left for 48 consecutive hours — that is, everyone, including its owner, has left — the channel is permanently deleted automatically. Its messages, voice messages, membership, invitations and settings are removed with it, and the deletion cannot be undone.

If someone rejoins before those 48 hours pass, the channel is kept and the countdown starts over.

Private circles are subject to the same rule.

Channels owned by a platform administrator are never deleted automatically.

This means you should not use ReTalkia as a permanent archive of channels or conversations.

7. Moderation and bans

Room operators can kick or ban users from channels they manage. ReTalkia administrators can act across the platform to enforce these Rules.

A ban is permanent. Once you are banned from a channel or from the platform, access is not restored, and there is no unban function.

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or delete accounts where necessary to enforce these Rules, protect users, protect the service, or comply with the law.

8. Reporting and contact

If you see content or behaviour that breaks these Rules, contact us at:

[email protected]

Include what happened, where, and any details that help us understand it. We may not be able to reply to every report, but we review them.

These Rules are part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these Rules

We may update these Rules as ReTalkia changes or as necessary to reflect legal, technical or operational developments.

The Last updated date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. For material changes, we will provide appropriate notice where required.
